My friend, Tintin

I’ve been a big fan of Tintin ever since I started learning French in the early 90s. In fact,  Tintin taught me a lot of French as I read through his adventures. It was, however, a bit rough at the beginning looking up the expressions of Captain Haddock in the dictionary only to find out they were particular to him and no one else.

So you can imagine my surprise and fascination when I learned that one of the friends that I work along side of each Tuesday night with Les Restos du Coeur dresses up as Tintin….and it’s not just every now and then…it is his full time job! Now how cool is that?

So…meet my new friend Tintin…or Philippe as he is called on Tuesday nights.
