and the seed of encouragement raises its beautiful head

Today on facebook, a fb friend, Gary Bowen, announced his first solo photography show for next April 2013 in a small café on the west side Montréal. In the comment section he specifically thanked me  for the encouragement I gave him in asking him to participate in a small art festival that I helped to organize. The thing is….that was over 7 years ago! I hardly remember it…but evidently he did. (You can check out some of Gary’s photos here.)

I’m not trying to pat myself on the back here. I am reminding myself to keep encouraging people….to keep believing in people….to keep valuing even the humblest expression of creativity. You never know when that seed of encouragement will raise its beautiful head and sprout into something glorious.

Go and do likewise.
