We Were Horses
Today Sanan and I went to watch the horses of l’Academie Equestre de Versailles have their morning workout. Their show “WE WERE HORSES” is featured at Parc de la Villette.
Horses are such special creatures. For around 5 millennium, they have been the principle mode of transportation for humanity. During that very long period of time, man and horse have developed a special relationship. This show seeks to mix the glory of the horse with art (singing and ballet) and sport (dressage and archery).
Seeing these amazing animals makes me long for the pre-automobile days. where I could join the flow of humanity in caring for and knowing my own magnificent horse.
