writing
I’ve been writing in several different areas….
Presently, I’m finishing up my first book whose working title is – PRAY LIKE A GOURMET: Creative Ways to Feed Your Soul. Check out the website and teaser video at www.praylikeagourmet.com. It will be published with Paraclete Press in March 2015. Looks like the French publisher LLB Éditions is interested in translating and publishing it as well….stay tuned.
I’m attempting some poetry in the style of John O’Donohue’s “Beannacht“….here is one of the better ones called Blessing of the Ages and another – Blessing of Change…and yet another.
Here’s a sampling of my writings for kids…..
Upsidedown Window
Backyard Friends – a story for younger children about exploring the backyard
Leaf Letters – letters from a backyard tree, for middle grade girls
If you don’t mind – I would love to use your children writings at my school – – we are a Communication Arts Magnet and I work with poetry readings, drama, etc outside of my regular music job – and I can say the “skiing” one I’d like to use the first week of January. Is this ok? Great job, David. I have written some poetry and have had an idea on a children’s book but just haven’t taken the time to delve in.
I would love for you to read my poems to school kids, allow them to give me feedback.
Thanks for “liking” a post on my blog. I love the way yours looks – and the breadth of topics you write about.
